April was a great meeting for those interested in Silverlight, WPF, and Windows Phone development.
Talks
We started with a great talk from Kevin Kuebler on Model View ViewModel. Download all 4 of Kevin's Model View ViewModel Slides, but of course we spent almost no time in Power Point. Kevin created a demo application for this talk, so if you're interested check out Kevin's Simple MVVM Demo.
The next item on the agenda was a quick look at the new technology with Silverlight 4 and Windows Phones from MIX. Jeff Blankenburg showed some demos of the new features of each of those technologies.
Most of our time during these "talks" was spent in discussion of the technologies. Stop by next month if you're tired of sitting in at a lecture for an hour, and want to have a lot of group discussion about different topics.
Hands On
To conclude the meeting we paired up and started working on the String Calculator Kata.
